Why This Matters

“Diamond in the Rough” started as a writing exercise believe it or not. I didn't think a tour would come out of this-but with your help...it did. I have made it my goal to give back to the community and share the love and light that I would only have because of God and my supporters.

The pressure to become something greater while being surrounded by doubt, expectation, and real-life obstacles. The process of growing, creating, and pushing forward even when you’re not fully seen yet.

That’s what this night is about.

This open mic is about giving that process a stage. Not perfection—progress. Not polish—truth. A place where people can show up as they are and be heard for real.

My name is Isaiah Keaton, and everything I create—music, shows, community—comes from that same place. This isn’t separate from the mixtape, it’s an extension of it.

And none of this is happening without you.

Thank you for the love you’ve been showing—especially on the mixtape. Hitting 2,000 streams is more than a number-especially in one week. It’s proof that the message is reaching people, that the story is connecting, that this is bigger than just one person.

This night is a continuation of that energy.

The music, the words, the presence—it all comes from the same source. And now we’re opening the space for more voices to step into it.
